CNC Milling Machinist
Night Shift Havant, Portsmouth
We're supporting a leading engineering business seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their night shift team.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines, ensuring high-quality output while meeting production deadlines and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set and operate Mazak/Heidenhain CNC machines
Read and interpret engineering drawings and G-code (ISO/Mazatrol)
Maintain quality standards and 5S practices
Work to set cycle times and deadlines
Support continuous improvement (Lean / CI)
Work flexibly across milling and turning when required
Assist with cross-training and team development
Requirements:
Offline programming (Edgecam/Mastercam)
5+ years CNC machining experience in manufacturing
Experience with Mazak/Mazatrol controls
Strong understanding of milling and turning
Ability to read engineering drawings and CNC code
Apprentice trained (preferred)
Knowledge of Lean, 5S, and Health & Safety
