An exciting opportunity has arisen for a legal secretary to join a well-established London based law firm. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing comprehensive secretarial support to the real estate department. You will operate on a hybrid working basis, attending the London office 3-4 days per week.
You will support a team of lawyers with a variety of tasks including opening and setting up new client matters, including conflict checks, client due diligence (CDD), and adherence to Lexcel and regulatory requirements. You will also assist with file management, including opening, closing, archiving, and retrieval of files in line with firm policies. Further tasks will include managing billing processes, including drafting, editing, finalising, and issuing client invoices, and assisting with credit control where required.
Candidates will have gained previous legal secretarial experience, ideally within real estate and/or conveyancing. Familiarity with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Internet applications is essential. A professional and confident approach to work is paramount coupled with strong attention to detail.
