Job Description
6 month Contract (Inside IR35) - London, UK (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite)
We are recruiting for a global consultancy, who are seeking a Solution Architect with strong Backbase expertise to design and deliver scalable digital banking solutions, with a focus on Wealth Management.
Key Responsibilities- Design end-to-end architectures using Backbase (DBS, Journey Engine, Identity & Entitlements)
- Define API-first, micro-Front End, and cloud-native solutions aligned to security and compliance
- Lead delivery of wealth journeys (onboarding, client portals, portfolio views, advisor tools)
- Own Backbase platform strategy across web, mobile, and partner channels
- Design integrations with core banking, CRM (eg Salesforce), payments, and fintech platforms
- Collaborate with UX/CX teams to deliver seamless, personalised digital journeys
- Provide architectural governance, standards, and support DevOps/CI/CD delivery
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong Backbase platform experience (wealth preferred)
- Proven Solution Architect in digital banking
- Java/Spring Boot, microservices & integrations
- REST APIs, JWT, SSO, API gateways
- Angular, mobile architectures (iOS/Android)
- Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD
- AWS/Azure/GCP
- Security: IAM, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, regulatory compliance
- Integration across core banking (eg Temenos), CRM, and enterprise systems
- 12+ years IT, including 5-7+ years architecture
- Wealth domain knowledge (KYC, onboarding, portfolio, advisor journeys)
- Strong stakeholder management & communication
- Backbase/TOGAF (desirable)
