Band 3 Administrator, Dundonald, Ulster Hospital, £12.75 per hour

Your new company
You will be joining the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust, working within the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Department. The team provides essential services across a wide range of clinical settings, and you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care. Although the role is primarily based at the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald, occasional travel across other Trust locations may be required.
Your new role
As a General Secretary for the Speech & Language Therapy team, you will provide vital administrative and secretarial support to clinicians and managers. Your responsibilities will include:

Word processing, audio typing, and preparing reports and lettersSorting and responding to incoming mailManaging diaries and arranging meetingsMinute taking and preparing associated documentationHandling general enquiries from staff, service users, and external professionalsProcessing information, updating records, and maintaining filing systemsPreparing basic statistical informationSupporting the organisation of appointments and clinical administrationProviding telephone and reception supportPhotocopying, scanning, and general office dutiesThe role also includes supporting junior administrative colleagues, participating in audits, maintaining strong knowledge of IT systems, and contributing to team meetings and departmental operations.
The post is 37.5 hours per week, though the Trust is open to reduced hours, with a minimum of 22.5 hours considered.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:
Essential qualifications and experience:OCR Level II Text Processing (or equivalent)Four GCSEs Grade C or above (including English) and one year's admin/secretarial experience
OR
Two years' admin/secretarial experienceAudio typing qualification or six months' audio typing experienceA full driving licence and access to a vehicle (unless exempt under disability provisions)
Skills and abilities:Strong organisational and prioritisation skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to manage sensitive information appropriatelyCompetence in MS Office and administrative systemsAbility to produce accurate, high-quality written workConfidence interacting with staff, service users, and external professionalsCommitment to professional development and continuous learning
