Electrical Design Engineer

Your new role

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will play a key role in the full lifecycle delivery of electrical design projects across power, water and wastewater sectors. This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects from initial concept and specification through to commissioning, while collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Electrical design across power, water and wastewater projects in line with client specifications and industry standards
• Designing system architecture and selecting appropriate equipment, including motors, MCCs, instrumentation and PLCs
• Producing schematic diagrams, electrical installation drawings, cable calculations (18th Edition) and schedules
• Supporting projects through the full life cycle, from concept design to commissioning
• Liaising with and coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Ensuring compliance with ISO Quality and Environmental standards, and all health and safety requirements

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in industrial, power, water or wastewater projects. You will be comfortable producing detailed electrical designs and working within regulated environments, while demonstrating strong communication and organisational skills.
