Talentmark are recruiting for a Senior Procurement Manager to join a global pharmaceutical company putting patients at the centre of what they do. The role will be based in Hertfordshire on a permanent basis. Location: The role is based in Hertfordshire and offers hybrid working. Role: Proactively identify and drive strategies and approaches for managing and sourcing third party spend requirements Collaborate with internal procurement (such as Business Partering, Insights, Analytics, Contracting, etc.) and business stakeholders to build and implement comprehensive category sourcing and spend management strategies aligned with business needs and functional objectives. Act as a Category and sourcing subject matter expert in Consulting Services, conducting market and internal analysis to develop strategies, best practices, and guidance on tactical plans for how the company should source and negotiate for third party goods and services in order to satisfy stakeholder requirements and maximize value. Deliver and execute sourcing strategies and major initiatives by leveraging spend, category know-how, robust sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier management methodologies and project management skills, and/or supporting team members by coaching them and enhancing their skills and knowledge. Develop content and automation, implement category strategies, develop category specific policies, translating sourcing strategy into content and automated buying channels guidelines, best practices and communication materials that improve business adoption, satisfaction, and overall efficiency. Influence Senior Leaders in decision-making and remove barriers to ensure the delivery of high-quality customer-oriented sourcing and spend management strategies Engage in complex discussions with senior leaders and provide expert Procurement advisory support. Your Background: Educated to degree level or above in a relevant scientific or business discipline. Significant procurement experience across strategic sourcing, global category management, complex contracting, and operational efficiency initiatives. Strong and deep knowledge and experience in the Consulting Category, and other Professional Services categories and overall understanding of other commodities. Experience in supplier management, contract negotiations, cost optimization, market research & analysis in the Consulting Category, and understand the applicable regulations and industry standards. Proven track record of implementing category strategies and frameworks, along with a strong interest in AI and the opportunities it offers to further enhance category management and strategies. Expertise in procurement end-to-end systems and processes. Significant experience in managing matrix teams in a global, fluid and interactive environment. Experience in project management including change management and process improvement with direct experience in delivering complex business process / organizational change projects.
