Job Title: Telehandler/Telescopic Handler/ Forklift Driver Location: Didcot Pay: £18.00-£21.00 per hour Start date: TBD long term We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Telehandler/Forklift Driver to join a fast-paced residential project in Didcot You will be working for a leading housing developer on a major new-build scheme. This is a long-term role for a reliable operator who can integrate well with a busy site team and manage the logistics of a large housing development. Responsibilities Safely unloading delivery HGVs and distributing materials (bricks, blocks, timber, trusses) to specific plots for subcontractors. Working closely with bricklayers and carpenters to ensure they have the supplies needed to maintain production. Loading and unloading waste skips and keeping the storage yard organized and safe. Carrying out daily pre-start machine inspections and reporting any defects immediately to the Site Manager. Operating with extreme caution in live areas where other trades and occasionally residents may be present. Qualifications & Experience Required Must have a valid Blue CPCS or NPORS (with CSCS logo) Telescopic Handler ticket. Valid Green or Blue CSCS card is essential. Minimum 2 years of experience operating a Telehandler on a residential/housing site. Must be punctual, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently. Key responsibilities • Operate counterbalance FLT to safely check, transport, load and unload goods across chilled warehouse and loading areas • Accurately pick and prepare customer orders using order tickets / instructions • Complete stock rotation and replenishment to keep product flowing and reduce waste • Support safe vehicle loading: check orders are present, correctly placed, constrained and secured for travel • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment (warehouse and yard areas) • Follow food hygiene and health & safety rules at all times; report incidents promptly and support investigations when required • Work collaboratively across departments to meet deadlines and keep distribution running smoothly About you • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (renewed within the last 3 years) • Experience operating FLT in a warehouse, distribution, FMCG, chilled food or food production environment • Strong attention to detail, good numeracy and a methodical approach • Reliable, flexible and positive able to work to tight deadlines and shift patterns • Confident communicator who can work well independently and as part of a wider team Desirable: dairy/FMCG experience, knowledge of safe working practices, PPT experience How to apply Click Apply and submit your CV.
