Key responsibilities will include: Assisting with the structural design and analysis of building projects Preparing calculations, drawings and technical documentation Supporting senior engineers through concept, detailed design and construction stages Working collaboratively with architects and other design disciplines Attending site visits and project meetings where required Requirements We are keen to speak with candidates who have: A degree (BEng or MEng) in Structural or Civil Engineering A strong interest in building structures and structural design Knowledge of steel, concrete, timber and masonry design principles Familiarity with structural analysis software (or a willingness to learn) Good communication skills and a proactive, team oriented mindset A desire to work towards professional chartership with IStructE or ICE is essential. An established engineering consultancy is looking to add a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to its growing London team. The position will involve working on a broad range of residential and development led infrastructure schemes across the UK. The team is involved in projects from initial feasibility and planning through to detailed infrastructure delivery, supporting both private sector developers and public sector clients on schemes of varying scale. Requirements: Background in highways and drainage design for residential or mixed use developments Understanding of technical approval processes including S104, S38 and S278 agreements Experience using MicroDrainage and AutoCAD Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to manage workloads and support more junior engineers where required Responsibilities: Delivering infrastructure design packages for development projects Producing drainage layouts and highway designs Preparing technical reports including Flood Risk Assessments and drainage statements Assisting with levels strategies and earthworks assessments Coordinating with clients, local authorities and external consultants Supporting the delivery of projects through planning and detailed design stages Mentoring junior members of the engineering team Hybrid working is available, with a mixture of office and home working throughout the week.
