Quality Assurance Technician (Drinks Production)

£28k rising to £30k after probation

Our client is a growing drinks manufacturing business specialising in bottling and canning solutions for a range of customers, with products supplied into major UK retailers.

Engaged on an exclusive basis, we are looking to appoint a Quality Assurance Technician to support the development of site quality systems, with a key focus on gaining BRCGS accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and development of BRCGS standards across the site
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure processes are correctly implemented, followed, and continuously improved
  • Monitor adherence to process flows and production procedures
  • Carry out quality checks on incoming materials and finished products
  • Support the development, amendment, and maintenance of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the company Quality Manual and supporting documentation
  • Conduct GMP and hygiene checks throughout the production facility
  • Investigate customer complaints and support corrective and preventative actions where required
  • Assist with internal audits and preparation for external BRCGS audits
  • Promote best practice, food safety, and quality standards across the business

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within a food or drinks manufacturing environment in a Quality Assurance / Quality Technician role
  • Experience working towards or maintaining BRCGS accreditation standards is essential
  • Strong understanding of food safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality systems
  • Degree qualified (BSc or equivalent) in Food Science, Food Production, or a related discipline
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach
  • Able to work effectively within a growing, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Positive attitude with pride in delivering high standards and continuous improvement
