You will be working in an extra care supported living service supporting up to 39 older people requiring varying levels of care and support, so while experience in a similar role is helpful it is not essential. You will provide positive support to help people live as independently as possible, take part in social activities and maintain an active life. What you will need to succeed You'll need effective communication skills to be able to work as part of a team or work on your own when needed. You'll work with people in a person-centred way, update electronic records, coordinate appointments and work with individuals to regain or develop new skills that help them achieve meaningful outcomes.
