Job Description

Our client is a growing and technically advanced manufacturing business and is seeking a Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations across a complex assembly and manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role within a business entering a significant growth phase. You'll play a key role in shaping production processes, improving operational performance and building a manufacturing function capable of supporting future expansion.

The role would suit someone from a manufacturing, assembly or advanced engineering environment who enjoys balancing operational delivery with continuous improvement and team development.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily production activities
  • Create and adapt production schedules
  • Lead and develop production teams
  • Implement KPIs and operational metrics
  • Improve productivity, workflow and manufacturing efficiency
  • Support inventory and material availability
  • Work closely with engineering, supply chain and quality teams
  • Drive continuous improvement activities across the shop floor
  • Support production readiness for new products and engineering changes


What We're Looking For

  • Experience within a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Assembly Manager role
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production planning
  • Experience leading teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • KPI management and operational reporting experience
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable operating within evolving and changing environments


Desirable

  • Advanced manufacturing, automotive, defence, aerospace or electro-mechanical assembly experience
  • Experience within scaling manufacturing operations
  • Lean manufacturing exposure
  • ERP/MRP system knowledge
