Job Description

Warehouse & Logistics Operative

A growing manufacturer and supplier of made-to-order furniture is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse & Logistics Operative to join its expanding team in Leyland.

This is a hands-on, varied role that combines warehouse operations with occasional support for delivery activities. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring stock, warehouse processes, and deliveries operate smoothly and efficiently.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
  • Weekend work required in line with business needs
  • Flexibility with working hours is essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general warehouse duties including loading, unloading, picking, and packing
  • Support delivery operations and assist drivers when required
  • Conduct stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records using the in-house system
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
  • Assist with basic furniture/product assembly when required
  • Work independently and use initiative to complete tasks efficiently
  • Support the wider warehouse operation during busy periods

About You

  • Previous warehouse experience is essential
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Positive, flexible, and team-focused attitude
  • Willingness to undertake forklift truck training
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional overnight stays
