Earnings: From 17.83ph up to 52.20ph

Class 1 Driver Opportunity

Join Gi Group supporting one of the UK's biggest supermarkets, as a Class 1 Driver. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership in, Lutterworth. You will play a vital role in keeping the nation fed by delivering to stores and petrol stations across the region.

Role & Responsibilities :

Delivering both chilled and ambient loads stored in cages or palletised

1-3 store deliveries , this can be ambient or chilled loads

Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.

Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on

Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement

Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Shifts :

Daily and Weekly Bookings

Various start times available AM and PM

Minimum 1 weekend day availability is a must

Weekend only work available

Full time and part time opportunities

Benefits & Pay Rates :

Automatic pay rises at 12 and 27 weeks

Double pay on Bank Holidays (up to 52.20ph)

Increased holiday entitlement once first 12 weeks is completed

Overtime after 45 hours, paid on weekly basis

Days 06:00-14:00 : STD 19.42ph & Overtime 27.35ph

Backs 14:00-22:00 : STD 23.02ph & Overtime 30.95ph

Nights 22:00-06:00 : STD 24.96ph & Overtime 32.88ph

WK27 Rates - Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

Days 06:00-14:00 : STD 20.57ph & Overtime 28.50ph

Backs 14:00-22:00 : STD 24.81ph & Overtime 32.09ph

Nights 22:00-06:00 : STD 26.10ph & Overtime 34.03ph

Class 1 Driver Requirements

Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)

Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence + 6 months Class 1 driving experience

Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential

Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)

Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation

Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
