T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Ashby-de-la-Zouch for a Assembly Team Leader to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a hands-on and driven AssemblyTeam Leader to support the launch and ongoing delivery of a major new wiring and electro-mechanical assembly project within the company.

Assembly Team Leader Job Details & Benefits;

  • Monday Friday 6am-2pm or 8am-4pm
  • £31,200 per annum starting salary

Assembly Team Leader Job Details;

  • Lead and support the day to day running of the wiring team.
  • Help build and develop a positive, organised and high performing production environment.
  • Co ordinate activities across ; kitting, mechanical assembly, wire preparation, wiring and loom assembly, final assembly, inspection and testing, packing and despatch.
  • Work closely with Wiring Engineering and Operations to improve workflow, build methods and production efficiency.
  • Support production directly when required, including hands on assembly and wiring work.
  • Monitor build progress and help remove production blockers quickly.
  • Ensure quality standards and workmanship are maintained throughout the process.
  • Help establish scalable processes and working standards as the department grows.
  • Assist with training and development of operators within the team.
  • Maintain high standards of organisation, housekeeping and communication.
  • Support continuous improvement activities across the project.

Assembly Team Leader Person Specification;

Essential;

  • Previous experience leading or supervising within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Hands on attitude and willingness to support production activities directly.
  • Ability to manage multiple stages of production simultaneously.
  • Good problem solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Experience working within fast paced production environments.

Desirable;

  • Experience within cable assembly, wiring, electro mechanical assembly or electronics manufacturing.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 knowledge or experience.
  • Experience working with production documentation, build packs or ERP systems.
  • Understanding of inspection and testing processes.
