Location: Ayr
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Shift: Day Shift - 07:00 to 15:00
Overtime: Available (06:00 - 16:00 and occasional Saturdays)
Pay Rate: 12.71 per hour
Contract Type: Ongoing Temporary with Permanent Opportunities

Overview of the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a dependable and hard-working Warehouse Operative to join their team in Ayr. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role within a busy production and warehouse environment.

Working as part of a close-knit team, you will play a key role in supporting the production of animal feed, helping to ensure operations run efficiently and safely on a day-to-day basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manual handling of 25kg drums and buckets containing raw materials
• Supporting the movement of goods across the warehouse, yard, and production areas
• Assisting with general warehouse and production duties as required
• Ensuring workspaces, including the yard and production floor, are kept clean, tidy, and safe
• Working to production schedules and supporting the smooth flow of materials
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures, particularly in relation to manual handling and industrial environments
• Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Requirements

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, physically capable, and willing to work in a demanding but rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• A good level of physical fitness and confidence with manual handling
• A strong work ethic and willingness to get involved in all aspects of the role
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse or production setting
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• Previous experience in a warehouse or production role is advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided
