Art Teaching Assistant North West London September 2026 Start
We are seeking a patient Art Teaching Assistant (Art & Photography) to join a supportive secondary school in North West London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Art Teaching Assistant with a strong background in Art and/or Photography who is looking to gain hands-on experience supporting students within a specialist ARP setting.

The successful Art Teaching Assistant will support either a small group or a single student within the ARP, helping them develop confidence, independence, and technical ability in Art and Photography.

The Role Art Teaching Assistant
  • Full-time, long-term contract Art Teaching Assistant
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Weekly pay: £460 - £500 per week (PAYE)
  • Based within a specialist ARP (Additionally Resourced Provision)
  • Supporting students with autism and additional learning needs
  • Working with GCSE and A-Level Art & Photography students
  • 1:1 and small group support

Key Responsibilities Art Teaching Assistant
  • Deliver tailored support to students studying Art & Photography at GCSE and A-Level
  • Provide one-to-one or small group interventions focused on creative development
  • Support students with coursework, portfolios and exam preparation
  • Build confidence, engagement and independence through structured support
  • Provide consistent encouragement to students who may experience anxiety or communication barriers
