People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Hemel Hempstead.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities to grow and progress within a supportive working environment.

This role would suit applicants who have worked in a role as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday• 06:00 starts

Rates of Pay:

• £16.23 - £21.59 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Carrying out Class 2 deliveries in the local area• Driving HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles safely and efficiently• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks• Ensuring all loads are safe, secure and delivered on time• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers• Reporting any vehicle faults or delays to management• Following all working time and road transport regulations

Essential Skills:

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence• Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category C vehicles• Valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsements)• Good level of spoken and written English• Punctual, reliable and professional• Good understanding of UK traffic laws and safety regulations• Strong communication and customer service skills

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles• Multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided

• Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout the assignment
