Bridge Recruitment is working with a well-established and respected law firm in Kent that is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy Private Client department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Legal Secretary with Private Client experience to join a supportive team and provide full secretarial support to fee earners handling a varied caseload of wills, probate and estate administration matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing full secretarial support to Private Client fee earners
Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
Preparing Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Codicils and Probate documentation
Assisting with estate administration and probate matters
Managing diaries, appointments and client meetings
Liaising with clients and handling Private Client enquiries
Opening files and completing AML and ID checks
Maintaining accurate file records and departmental administration
Supporting fee earners with billing, file management and matter progression
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a Private Client department
Strong knowledge of Wills, Probate and Estate Administration
Excellent audio and copy typing skills
Experience managing diaries and client communications
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
Desirable
- Experience preparing estate accounts and inheritance tax forms
Knowledge of BigHand, Oyez Forms, Excel and Partner for Windows
