Rise10 Recruitment are currently working with a busy and fast-paced conveyancing environment to recruit a Legal Cashier. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys working within legal finance and wants to develop their expertise in a supportive, team-focused setting.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will support the conveyancing team in delivering a high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused service. You will play a key role in ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately, in line with regulatory requirements, and within required deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong working knowledge of Quill Pinpoint legal accounts software
  • Gain understanding and ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules / CLC rules
  • Work with the Intelliworks case management system
  • Manage card payment processing including reports, reconciliation, postings, and refunds
  • Process and reconcile Land Registry fees, searches, Companies House payments, and indemnity policies
  • Carry out bank transfers, logging, checking, and posting funds accurately
  • Check completion packs against ledgers and resolve discrepancies with relevant teams
  • Process payments through banking systems and manage financial transactions
  • Prepare and issue cheques, letters, and supporting documentation for partner approval
  • Review payment requests, e-chits, bills, and journals for accuracy
  • Respond to telephone and email queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Identify and correct reconciliation errors and discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate filing and archiving of all accounts documentation
  • Run financial reports, monitor balances, and chase outstanding items
  • Produce and update spreadsheets to support legal teams
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and deadlines are met
  • Work proactively to ensure nothing is missed and processes run smoothly
  • Support fraud prevention and adherence to internal financial controls

  • Previous experience in legal cashiering or accounts
