Hays are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee an end-to-end AP function for an organisation in Liverpool. As Accounts Payable Manager you will manage a team of five AP clerks, providing leadership, support and process oversight to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices.
Your new role
Key responsibilities:
• Leading and developing the AP team (5 team members), ensuring a high-performance and supportive culture
• Managing the full AP lifecycle, from invoice receipt through to payment
•Overseeing invoice processing, matching and query resolution against POs
•Ensuring strong controls and compliance within SAP
•Supporting process improvements and maintaining efficient workflows
•Acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and suppliers
What you'll need to succeed
•Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Manager or Senior AP role
•Strong SAP experience is essential
•Demonstrable people management and leadership skills
•Solid understanding of end-to-end AP processes in a high-volume environment
•A hands-on approach with the ability to support the team operationally
•Strong communication skills and a collaborative, approachable style
