What you'll be doing As a Skilled Aircraft Fitter, you will play a key role in assembling aircraft components to exacting engineering standards. Your responsibilities will include: Interpreting engineering drawings and following detailed work instructions Using a variety of hand and power tools for drilling, sealing, shimming, and general assembly work Completing tasks to required quality and safety standards Undertaking 1st party certification following the appropriate training Working safely in confined spaces (such as tank work) and at heights Supporting continuous improvement, new ways of working, and team collaboration What we're looking for To be successful in this role, you will need: Essential qualifications & experience A completed full engineering apprenticeship (e.g. Aircraft Fitter, Sheet Metal Worker, Tool Maker, Maintenance Technician) NVQ Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent) in a recognised engineering discipline Experience using hand tools and working in a fitter/assembly environment Strong self-motivation and effective communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A strong commitment to Health & Safety Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights Additional requirements Pre-employment medical BPSS clearance (arranged by Airbus) Compliance with ITAR restrictions Why work with us?
