Class 1 ADR Tanker Driver (4 On / 4 Off)

- Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off
- £26.35 Overtime rate (On non shifted days)
- £40 per night out
- 17.5 days holiday, in addition to the public bank holidays

We are seeking a professional and safety-conscious Class 1 ADR Tanker Driver to our clients transport team. The Role
As a Class 1 Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of hazardous chemicals in bulk tankers throughout the UK. You will play a key role in ensuring products are delivered on time while adhering to all relevant transport, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport hazardous chemicals in tanker vehicles to customer sites across the UK.
- Ensure full compliance with ADR regulations and all transport legislation.
- Conduct vehicle and equipment checks before, during, and after journeys.
- Maintain accurate driving, delivery, and compliance records.
- Adhere to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations at all times.
- Wear and maintain appropriate PPE in accordance with company procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally.
- Communicate effectively with customers, transport planners, and colleagues.
- Follow all company Health & Safety, ISO, and operational procedures.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest professional standard.
Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- ADR qualification with Classes 8 & 9 as a minimum.
- Previous tanker driving experience.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Clean or near-clean driving licence.
- Strong understanding of UK road networks and route planning.
- Excellent awareness of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
- A professional, reliable, and safety-focused approach.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience transporting hazardous chemicals.
- Experience working within the chemical manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
