A well established London law firm is seeking a Paralegal to join its Court of Protection team. This Paralegal role offers exposure to a broad range of Court of Protection matters, supporting fee earners across the day-to-day management of vulnerable client cases. The Paralegal will gain hands-on experience in financial administration, legal documentation and client support. This Paralegal opportunity is suited to someone looking to develop a long-term career within Court of Protection work in a supportive team environment.
The successful Paralegal will join a respected Court of Protection team within a London law firm specialising in supporting vulnerable clients and their families. The team provides structured supervision, ongoing training and a collaborative environment focused on delivering high quality client care.
As the Paralegal you will support Partners and fee earners across a varied Court of Protection caseload.
The role will include:
Supporting Court of Protection matters from file opening through to ongoing management
Drafting correspondence, legal documents and client communications
Maintaining accurate electronic and paper case files
Liaising with clients, families, the Office of the Public Guardian and third parties
Managing incoming calls, emails and general queries
Assisting with financial administration and client account records
Supporting preparation of reports for the Office of the Public Guardian
Monitoring deadlines, diaries and compliance requirements
Assisting with billing, time recording and file management
Supporting general administrative and case progression tasks
You will have a genuine interest in Court of Protection work and a compassionate, client focused approach.
The Paralegal must have:
Previous legal experience (desirable, ideally Court of Protection, Private Client or similar)
Law degree, LPC, CILEX or equivalent qualification (advantageous)
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Empathetic, professional and discreet approach to client care
Proactive and flexible working style
Good IT and case management system skills
25,000 to 28,000 salary
