Salary: 26,000 plus regular performance-related bonuses
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm with a one-hour lunch
Hybrid working: One work-from-home day per week (Wednesday)

Empowering Learning is looking for a motivated Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our Manchester education recruitment team in September 2026.
You don't need previous recruitment experience. We're more interested in your attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a customer service, sales, hospitality, retail, administration or education background who wants to build a long-term professional career.
Initially, you'll focus on finding and engaging talented teachers and support staff for schools, colleges and other educational settings.
With structured training, coaching and ongoing support, you'll gradually develop the skills needed to manage vacancies, build relationships with schools and run your own successful recruitment desk.

Previous experience in recruitment, sales, customer service or education would be helpful but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Applicants must hold GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent qualifications.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a three-hour assessment day at our Manchester office.
The session will provide more information about the company, the position and what a career in education recruitment involves. You'll also take part in practical individual and group activities, allowing you to demonstrate your communication, organisation, teamwork and overall suitability for the role.
No previous recruitment knowledge is required, and full instructions will be provided on the day.
