Manual Machinist

Trident Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Machinist to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Manual Turner or Manual Miller looking to join a stable business offering an excellent hourly rate, a great work-life balance, and long-term career prospects.

The Role

• Operating manual lathes and/or milling machines
• Manufacturing one-off and small batch precision components
• Working from detailed engineering drawings to tight tolerances
• Carrying out manual machining operations including turning, milling, drilling and boring
• Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Working independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Manual Turner, Manual Miller, or Manual Machinist
• Strong manual machining skills within a precision engineering environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
