Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our London based media client to recruit for an Indirect Procurement Manager.
The role:
My client is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to take ownership of key indirect categories including Marketing, Sales, Travel, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Financial services.
Role responsibilities:
- Define and implement robust category strategies
- Lead end-to-end sourcing projects and commercial/contractual negotiations
- Proactively monitor, manage, and negotiate contracts across the contract lifecycle to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Identify savings opportunities
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with senior internal stakeholders.
- Manage key vendor relationships
- Improve the efficiency of supplier onboarding and contract risk management.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives and drive supplier-led innovation across your categories.
Skills and experience:
- Strong background in end-to-end indirect category management, with a track record of running complex sourcing projects and managing large contracts.
- Proven history of delivering significant, measurable cost savings and commercial value.
- A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and comfortably balances strategic thinking with hands-on tactical delivery.
- A sharp eye for process improvement, both across broader business operations and within the Procurement function itself.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- CIPS qualification would be desirable
