Key Responsibilities - Bookkeeper • Take ownership of the day-to-day accounts function and clear the existing backlog • Liaise directly with the sales team to gather and verify sales information • Monitor and implement processes and controls to ensure accounts are produced correctly and on time going forward • Manage bookkeeping using Sage (this role does not include payroll responsibilities) • Work within the company s specialist VAT scheme • Use sound, independent decision-making to resolve queries and discrepancies About You • Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally within a fast-paced sales environment • Confident working with Sage • Experience with VAT margin scheme for used car dealerships is desirable (training can be provided) • Comfortable liaising with non-finance staff, particularly sales personnel • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to organise and prioritise a backlog of work • Strong decision-making skills and confidence to work independently The Package Salary: £32,000 £36,000 D.O.E. Future Hybrid working (when systems & controls have been implemented) Hours Mon-Fri, 7.5 hours per day with unpaid hour for lunch 25 Days holiday + bank holidays Auto-enrolment pension
