Senior Residential Support Worker

Locations: CH44 (Wallasey), CH61 (Wirral) & LL11 (Wrexham)
Salary: 15.33 - 15.94 per hour
Hours: Full-time Flexible shift patterns including sleep-in nights

We're looking for experienced and passionate Senior Residential Support Workers to join our expanding team across our homes in Wallasey (CH44), Wirral (CH61) and Wrexham (LL11).

This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and shape a brand-new children's home while making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding, person-centred care, supporting the Registered Manager, mentoring colleagues, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.

The Role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:

Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people.
Act as a positive role model, promoting independence, resilience and positive outcomes.
Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
Mentor and guide Residential Support Workers, helping to develop their skills and confidence.
Build positive relationships with children, families and external professionals.
Ensure care plans, risk assessments and daily records are completed accurately.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
Support children with education, hobbies, life skills and community activities.
Help create a warm, safe and welcoming home environment.
Contribute towards achieving and maintaining outstanding Ofsted standards.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has:

Previous experience working within a children's residential care setting.
Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
A caring, resilient and positive approach.
The ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts.
A commitment to safeguarding and delivering exceptional care.

Essential

Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to work flexible shift patterns, including sleeping nights.

Qualifications

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (preferred).
If you don't already hold a Level 3 qualification, we'll fully support and fund you to achieve it while you work.
