Senior Infrastructure Consultant Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire 2 Year FTC Hybrid after 3 months - 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote 55,000 - 65,000 + Funded Training & Certifications + Company Pension + 27 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Life Assurance + Health Cash Plan + Enhanced Family Benefits Are you a senior Infrastructure Engineer, Technical Lead, or Infrastructure Consultant looking for a varied role where you can combine hands-on 3rd line support with solution design, project delivery, and long-term infrastructure strategy within a large-scale, business-critical environment? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation investing heavily in infrastructure modernisation, cyber security, cloud technologies, and resilience programmes. Working across a diverse technology estate, you will play a key role in both supporting and shaping the future direction of the infrastructure landscape. You will be responsible for designing, validating, and delivering practical infrastructure solutions while acting as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues. The role will see you working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring solutions are robust, supportable, and aligned with business requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across Microsoft infrastructure technologies, virtualisation, storage, backup, and hybrid cloud environments. You will be comfortable producing technical documentation, supporting project delivery, and providing technical leadership within a collaborative infrastructure team. The Role: Design and deliver infrastructure solutions across server, storage, virtualisation, backup, cloud, and identity platforms Act as a senior 3rd line escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and problems Produce HLDs, LLDs, implementation plans, migration documentation, and operational procedures Support infrastructure refresh and transformation projects across the IT estate Review and challenge supplier-led technical proposals and solutions The Person: Strong experience in a senior Infrastructure Engineer, Technical Lead, Consultant, or 3rd Line role Good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Experience with VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft 365, Azure, or hybrid infrastructure environments Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and documentation skills Able to communicate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers Any experience with Nutanix AHV, Aruba, Azure architecture, automation, or cybersecurity principles would be advantageous Reference Number: BBBH(phone number removed) Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd acts an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
