Average Pay Rate: £14.52 per hour

We're recruiting Assembly Operative s to join a well-established engineering business supplying high-quality products to some of the world's most recognised automotive manufacturers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a modern manufacturing environment while working as part of a friendly and dedicated team.

The role
As an Assembly Operative, you'll play an important role in the production process, ensuring components are assembled, tested and prepared to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Assembling, fitting and testing components.
• Inspecting parts for damage or defects and completing production paperwork.
• Setting up and operating crimping machines, etchers and testing equipment.
• Picking and packing finished products ready for dispatch.
• Working to production schedules and achieving daily targets.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
• Working independently while contributing positively within a team.

The successful Assembly Operative will have:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Assembly, fitting or quality inspection experience.
• The ability to read engineering drawings.
• A flexible approach with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to carry out manual handling duties.

Working Hours and Pay Rate:
This is a full-time opportunity, 37.5 hrs working Monday Friday working rotating weekly shifts and overtime as required.

Week 1: 06 00 Monday to Thursday and 06 10 on Friday - £13.20 p/h
Week 2: 14 00 Monday to Thursday and 12 20 on Friday - £15.84 p/h

As the shifts are weekly rotating, the pay rate averages out at £14.52 per hour
