Maintenance Operative Westward Care are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join us based in Leeds on a temporary basis, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent. The successful Maintenance Operative will be responsible for: Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the facility and grounds, ensuring a safe, high-quality, hotel-standard environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Plan, coordinate, and carry out preventative and reactive maintenance, minimising disruption to care services and ensuring all work is completed efficiently and on time. Conduct and maintain records of statutory inspections, safety checks, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements. Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, sourcing approved products and services that deliver quality, reliability, and value for money. Identify and implement improvements to buildings, facilities, and grounds, supporting continuous improvement and enhancing the customer experience. Communicate effectively with the General Manager, colleagues, and stakeholders, providing updates on maintenance activities, prioritising urgent issues, and supporting operational planning. The Maintenance Operative will have: Trades experience preferred Building experience preferred Driving licence Ability to travel between 4 Leeds sites.
