We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Bid Coordinator to join a collaborative business development team in Didcot, Oxfordshire. You'll play an important role in identifying new opportunities, coordinating compelling proposals and helping the organisation secure exciting new projects across a range of sectors.
This is much more than an administration role. You'll be involved throughout the full bid lifecycle, working alongside technical specialists, project managers and business development professionals. You'll gain valuable commercial exposure, develop your bid management expertise and have the opportunity to make a genuine contribution to business growth.
No two bids are the same, so you'll have plenty of variety, responsibility and opportunity to learn.
What you'll be doing
As Bid Coordinator, you'll help turn opportunities into successful submissions by:
Identifying new tender and framework opportunities through a range of online portals
Coordinating the end-to-end bid process, ensuring submissions are delivered on time and to a consistently high standard
Supporting bid qualification and go/no-go decisions
Researching opportunities and gathering information to develop strong and compelling proposal responses
Formatting, proofreading and producing professional bid documentation
Working closely with subject matter experts to develop engaging and relevant proposal content
Managing bid schedules, deadlines, trackers and key actions
Maintaining bid libraries and ensuring information and documentation are accurate and up to date
Analysing bid activity and helping to identify opportunities to improve processes and success rates
Building strong relationships across teams to support successful bids and commercial growth
About you
We're looking for someone who enjoys making things happen. You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing several priorities at once. You'll have a sharp eye for detail and be confident communicating with people at different levels across an organisation.
You'll ideally bring:
Previous experience in bid coordination, proposal support, project administration or a similar position
Excellent written communication, proofreading and editing skills
Strong organisational and planning abilities
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines
A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach
Excellent attention to detail
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint
The confidence to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with different teams
It would be great if you also have:
Experience using bid or tender portals
Knowledge of project planning tools such as (url removed) or AccessPlanIt
Experience within learning and development, professional services or consultancy
PRINCE2, APM PFQ or a recognised bid management qualification
