Job Description

Search are supporting the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join a growing business in Morayshire. This is a highly visible role that combines management accounting, financial analysis and business partnering, offering the opportunity to work closely with operational leaders and influence decision-making across the organisation.

You'll play a key role in delivering insightful financial reporting, supporting budgets and forecasts, and providing analysis that helps drive performance and efficiency. This position would suit a commercially minded accountant who enjoys translating numbers into meaningful business insight.

Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts
Analysing financial performance, variances and key cost drivers, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations
Producing KPI reports, financial dashboards and trend analysis for management teams
Supporting statutory reporting and wider finance compliance activities
Leading the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and reforecasts
Developing financial models to support planning, scenario analysis and business decisions
Monitoring budget performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs
Conducting profitability, margin and cost analysis across business activities
Partnering with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge
Supporting business cases, project evaluations and investment decisions

Skills and experience that will benefit your application:
Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS etc), Part-Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant
Previous experience in management accounting or similar role
Demonstrable understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial models
Experience using accounting and ERP systems
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
