Sports Coach

Location: Oldham
Pay Rate: 16.78 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:45pm
Contract: Full-time

Are you passionate about sports, fitness and helping young people reach their full potential?

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, patient and motivated Sports Coach to work within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Oldham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys using sport and physical activity to engage, inspire and support young people with additional needs.

• Plan and deliver fun, engaging and inclusive sports and physical activity sessions.
• Adapt activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of pupils.
• Encourage participation, teamwork, confidence and social development.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs, disabilities and behavioural challenges.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, physical wellbeing and positive engagement.
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all pupils.
• Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants and other school staff.
• Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to help pupils achieve their goals.

• Has previous experience in sports coaching, PE or working with young people.
• Ideally has experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Is energetic, enthusiastic, patient and understanding.
• Has the ability to adapt activities to suit different abilities and needs.
• Is confident managing behaviour in a positive and supportive manner.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is passionate about using sport to improve confidence, wellbeing and development.

• 16.78 per hour
• Full-time, Monday to Friday.
• Working hours of 8:30am - 3:45pm.
