Stock and Sales Assistant

• 42 Hours a week - 1.30 am - 9.00 / 10.00am

We are seeking a driven Stock and Sales Assistant to join our client's dynamic team in Leicester. This role involves day-to-day sales and stock management within the fresh produce industry, focusing on maintaining and expanding our client's base at the Leicester site. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar sales role and be adept at face-to-face selling, order processing, and stock control within a busy, sometimes hectic, environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Establish, maintain, and develop relationships with both existing and new customers and suppliers.
• Commercially minded, you will collaborate with the head of department to identify and develop new sales opportunities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently, aligning with our core values and behaviours.
• Assist with the picking and assembling of specific customers' orders as needed.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture within the workplace.
• Provide sales support for other departments, including covering for holidays and sickness.
• Engage regularly in stock control activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required by the Branch Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Successful track record within a fast-moving wholesale environment, specifically in the FMCG industry.
• Strong commercial industry knowledge.
• Highly customer-focused with a commitment to delivering the best possible service.
• Profit-oriented and cost-conscious.
• Excellent influencing skills.
• IT literacy is essential.

• Competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
• Flexible working hours across a 6-day week, starting at 1:30 am with a finish between 9-10 am depending on the day.
