Designated Clinical Officer - Children & Young People's Health
Location: Hybrid (Main base: NW1, London & Hounslow Borough)Contract: 6 months, starting late October 2025 (with review in December)
Are you passionate about improving health outcomes for children and young people? We're seeking an experienced Designated Clinical Officer to join a collaborative team working across North West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of babies, children, and young adults up to age 25.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a team of Designated Clinical Officers to share expertise, develop best practices, and provide cross-cover as needed.
- Support the professional development of colleagues working in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Promote a shared understanding of population health needs and health inequalities within the SEND community.
- Act as a key point of contact for SEND stakeholders, including children, families, and local partners.
- Provide expert advice on SEND to local partnerships and senior leaders, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and codes of practice.
- Lead on assurance and inspection preparation at the borough level.
- Support the development of networks for stakeholders involved in the SEND agenda.
About You:
- Proven experience managing and delivering projects in healthcare or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the needs of children and young people, especially regarding SEND.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong project management abilities, including resource and budget management.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
