About the roleTech 1 plays a key support role in the onsite deployment of IT equipment. Working under the direction of Tech 2s and customer contacts, this role involves handling logistics, unboxing and moving IT kits, disposing of packaging, and assisting with desktop installations. Tech 1s are expected to follow instructions precisely and maintain a high standard of professionalism and safety throughout the deployment process.Tell me more, tell me more Our client is currently looking for a recruit to join their current team. • Assist Tech 1s in moving trolleys used for delivering IT equipment.
• Unbox IT kits are delivered in boxes and prepare them for deployment.
• Transport trolleys and/or IT equipment to designated locations on site.
• Dispose of packaging materials onsite as advised by the customer.
• Carry out desktop installations as directed by Tech 2s or customer representatives.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area during deployment activities.
• Follow all safety protocols and site-specific guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Other stuff we're potentially looking for:

• Basic understanding of IT hardware (desktops, monitors, peripherals).
• Ability to lift and move equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to follow instructions and adapt to onsite needs.
• Previous experience in IT deployment or logistics support is a plus.
• Commitment to safety and professionalism in all onsite activities.
