Job Title: Food Production Operative Abattoir Operative Location: Outskirts of Wellington, Somerset Salary: £13/hr (training rate) rising to potentially £15/hr after 12 weeks (permanent placement) Hours: 6:00am start until finish (approx. 6:00pm) Working Days: Monday, Thursday & Friday Transport: Own transport essential due to rural location

Are you reliable, hardworking, and ready to take on a fast-paced role in the food production industry? We re seeking dedicated Abattoir Operatives to support our poultry processing operations in a physically demanding but rewarding environment.

• Preparing birds for processing

• De-feathering and handling carcasses

• Hanging birds onto automated machinery

• Maintaining hygiene and safety standards throughout

This role requires stamina and focus. You ll be part of a fast-moving team where efficiency and collaboration are essential.

• Strong work ethic and punctuality

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting

• Comfortable with manual handling and repetitive tasks

• Own transport is essential due to location

• Previous experience in food production or abattoir work is a bonus but not required
