Assistant Management Accountant

Based within a commutable distance from both Petersfield and Chichester, having your own reliable transport would be required.

Supporting the month-end close, including stock reconciliation and reporting, posting journals, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with ongoing balance sheet accuracy and controls, this position will allow you to really add value.

What will the Assistant Management Accountant role involve?

• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, contributing to robust financial analysis and forecasting
• Managing day-to-day ledger responsibilities, including accruals, prepayments, and period-end adjustments
• Weekly and monthly payroll processing, including RTI and pension uploads
• Monthly VAT returns

Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Management Accountant vacancy:

• A strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of finance within a manufacturing/trading environment
• Proficient in Excel, with confidence in formulas, pivot tables, and cross-sheet data analysis
• Ambitious and adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on setting and eager to develop management accounting expertise
