HIU / Mechanical Engineer - District Heating
Location: King's Cross, London (Static Site)Salary: £52,000 + Unlimited Overtime (OTE £70,000+) + Package

My client is a leading specialist in district heating and high-spec mechanical environments, and they are looking to recruit an experienced HIU / Mechanical Engineer for a flagship static site in King's Cross.

Essential Requirements
- Strong experience working on HIUs (Heat Interface Units)
- Specific experience with Evinox HIU systems (highly desirable)
- Proven background in mechanical maintenance within commercial environments
- Experience working in plant rooms and on mechanical building services equipment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Understanding of district heating systems (highly advantageous)
Desirable
- Experience within district heating or energy centres
- Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications
- Knowledge of BMS interaction with mechanical systems
Package
- £52,000 basic salary
- Unlimited overtime (OTE £70,000+)

The Role
Working on a static site, you will be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of Heat Interface Units (HIUs) and associated plant within a district heating network.
This role offers a great balance of stability, technical challenge, and earning potential through unlimited overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of HIUs across the site
- Strong focus on Evinox systems
- Working on district heating infrastructure and associated plant
- Mechanical maintenance within plant rooms, including pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and pipework
- Ensuring all systems operate efficiently and in line with compliance standards
- Supporting system optimisation and continuous improvement
