An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer to join a well established and specialist structural engineering consultancy in Bristol. The Role
As a Structural Engineer, you will:
- Lead and manage structural design work from initial concept through to construction
- Prepare and check calculations, drawings, and technical reports in accordance with UK standards
- Carry out structural analysis and design using industry standard software
- Collaborate closely with architects, clients, and multidisciplinary design teams
- Attend site visits and provide technical support during the construction phase
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and quality standards
- Assist in mentoring and guiding junior engineers
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Has 2+ years of experience in a UK consultancy environment
- Is working towards Chartered status (IStructE or ICE preferred)
- Has a good understanding of UK design standards and Eurocodes
- Is proficient in structural design software
- Has experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Works well within collaborative multidisciplinary teams
- Communicates effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders
