Senior Building Surveyor - Oxfordshire
Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy

We are proud to be partnering with a highly respected, multi-discipline consultancy delivering engineering, design, and surveying expertise across the construction industry. With a strong reputation and growing presence across Oxfordshire, and surrounding areas, our client continues to expand both their footprint in the industry and their impressive client base.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join the business in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Associate Director, take ownership of key responsibilities, and play a central role in shaping the future of the team!

The Role
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be involved in delivering a wide range of professional and project-led services across multiple non-residential sectors.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking condition surveys and producing detailed reports
  • Managing party wall matters
  • Conducting site inspections and recording accurate particulars
  • Preparing fee proposals and project budget costs
  • Attending client meetings and site visits
  • Supporting design development alongside CAD technicians
  • Preparing and submitting planning and building control applications
  • Writing specifications and schedules of work
  • Acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015
  • Monitoring construction progress through regular site inspections

Key Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Building Surveying or a related Built Environment discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience
  • Ideally Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership
  • Strong technical expertise across core building surveying disciplines
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively
  • Commercial awareness and client-focused approach
  • Proficient IT skills (AutoCAD advantageous)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to undertake site-based work
