Job Description

Our highly successful client near Cosham is recruiting for a Claims Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

In this diverse and fast-paced role you will take full ownership of the end-to-end management of the claims function, leading the team, driving operational performance, and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused claims service.

Whilst Claims experience would be beneficial, they key for this role is a candidate who can support, develop and grow a team; set and monitor KPI's, and drive performance through coaching and development.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the overall performance of the claims function, including people, processes, and systems.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the claims team to ensure high standards of service.
  • Own and refine claims strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex or high-value claims.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, underwriting, customer service, and external partners.
  • Monitor and report on key claims metrics, trends, and risk indicators.
  • Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, automation, and customer outcomes.
  • Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with Company procedures, policy terms and regulatory standards.
  • Lead internal claims audits and support external regulatory or partner audits.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Skills Required:

  • Significant experience in claims management, ideally within the automotive or insurance sectors.
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Strong understanding of claims workflows, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with a commercial mindset.
  • Confident communicator and influencer, comfortable working cross-functionally and at senior levels.
  • Organised, results-driven, and adaptable, with a proactive approach to change and innovation.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary will be 38,000 - 40,000 depending on experience.
