About the role

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Plumber to join our team covering sites in Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes & Stevenage. You will deliver responsive plumbing repairs using your as well as carrying out general multi-skilled work.

This is a full-time permanent vacancy, working 39 hours per week, and there is a requirement to cover out-of-hours callout on a rota basis, which offers an additional payment.

We are a customer focused organisation. You will be an experienced Plumber, with great customer service skills, and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done.

The successful candidate will live within reasonable distance of Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes & Stevenage to be able to reach our residents locations in a timely manner. You must have a full UK driving licence, and there is a requirement for a basic DBS check, which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.

You ll be able to demonstrate
Essential experience:
  • Competence within required primary trade such as basic plumbing, damp & mould works.
  • Various multi-trade skills and experience, sufficient to enable the completion of repairs at the first visit (first time fix).
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment within agreed performance targets.
  • Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems seeking any advice required.
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to operate safely having taken into account any environmental circumstances and possible risks.
  • Demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable:
  • Experience of working within the social housing sector.

Qualifications

Essential:
  • NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent recognised competency in the required trade.
