Paint Line Operative

Shifts: Monday to Friday 1.00pm to 11.00 pm - Late shift 40 hrs/week

Contract: Stable Temp-to-Perm position

We're recruiting a Paint Line Operative to join a busy powder coating department. This is a hands-on role supporting the paint line to hit production targets while maintaining excellent quality and safe working practices.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing parts for coating (cleaning/degreasing, masking/plugging as required)
• Hanging/racking parts onto jigs and loading/unloading the conveyor line
• Supporting powder coating processes (booth housekeeping and powder handling once trained)
• Monitoring line flow and curing ovens, reporting any issues or defects
• Carrying out visual quality checks (coverage, finish, colour, contamination) and recording results
• Packing/labelling finished components to job card/customer requirements
• Keeping the work area clean and following all site H&S procedures

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment (powder coating/paint line experience is a strong advantage)
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable with manual handling and standing/walking for long periods
• Basic literacy/numeracy for paperwork, labels and checks

Desirable:

• Powder coating line experience (hanging, masking, prep, inspection)
• FLT licence (Counterbalance/Reach)
