We're looking for Highways Maintenance Operative (carriageway & footway reinstatement) to join our Transportation team based in Birmingham. What will you be responsible for? As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you'll be working within the Operative team, supporting them with reactive and planned highways maintenance works such as pothole repairs, kerb laying, minor civils works / improvement works and support severe weather operations. Your day to day will include: Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on the network, operating a variety of plant and equipment, carrying out required duties effectively, ensuring site and company equipment is always secure, raising problems/queries with designated supervisor Completing daily record sheets as required Using WMS / MMW application at incidents and emergency repairs on the network and where required completing any required record sheets, providing accurate records of works on the network Conducting daily defect reports on vehicles and maintaining vehicles in a good order What are we looking for?
