GRP Laminator Trimmer Location: Norfolk (NR16)
Salary: £15.50 £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm (40 hours)
Overtime: Available
The Company We re recruiting on behalf of a well-established composites manufacturer based in Norfolk, with over 30 years experience delivering high-quality GRP solutions across a range of industries.
The business produces bespoke composite components for applications including:
- Marine
- Automotive (including aerodynamic parts)
- Aerospace
- Commercial and industrial sectors
This is a small, skilled team with exciting growth plans, offering long-term stability and the chance to be part of a business on the up.
The Role You ll play a key role in the production of high-quality GRP components, working across a variety of projects rather than repetitive batch work.
Key responsibilities:
- Hand lay-up of GRP components using polyester resins and reinforcements
- Working from drawings, patterns, and lay-up specifications
- Preparing moulds (cleaning, waxing, release agents)
- Laminating, rolling, and consolidating materials
- Trimming and finishing components
- Carrying out quality checks to meet customer specifications
- Supporting production targets within a close-knit team
What We re Looking For - Proven experience in GRP / fibreglass hand lay laminating and trimming
- Experience within marine, automotive, aerospace or similar sectors
- Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications
- Good understanding of materials, resins, and lay-up processes
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable, hands-on and team-focused
