Job Description

Portfolio Payroll is working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Hull who are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their growing team. The Role

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client payrolls, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and in line with current UK legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end payroll for multiple clients using Sage
  • Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
  • Submitting RTI to HMRC
  • Administering auto-enrolment pensions
  • Handling client payroll queries and providing support
  • Ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation

About You

  • Proven payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy practice or bureau
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll and HMRC requirements
  • Experience with payroll systems such as Sage, BrightPay, or similar
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills and client-focused approach
