Part-Time Town Planner / Senior Town Planner
Location: Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Hours: 20-25 hours per week (with potential to increase)
Carrington West are pleased to be working in partnership with a small, well-established architectural practice to recruit an experienced Town Planner or Senior Town Planner on a part-time, permanent basis.
This opportunity would suit an individual seeking flexibility, including those returning to work after a career break, while still contributing meaningfully within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
You will work closely with the director and wider team, supporting a range of planning projects across the practice.
Initially office-based 5 days per week (reduced daily hours), transitioning to 3 days per week once established
Core working hours typically between 10:00am and 4:00pm, with flexibility
Approximately 20-25 hours per week
Opportunity to increase to full-time for the right candidate
Involvement in a broad mix of planning work and applications
About You
Experience within either the public or private sector will be considered
Suitable for Planner or Senior Planner level candidates
Comfortable with an office-based environment, particularly during the initial onboarding period
Full UK driving licence and access to a car is required
MRTPI is not essential
Salary and Benefits
Salary is flexible and will be determined based on experience and market guidance
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
3% employer pension contribution
Discretionary bonus (not guaranteed)
