Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (General Class Support)

Location: Rossendale, Lancashire (Easily commutable from Rawtenstall, Bacup, and Haslingden)

Salary: .00 per day (PAYE) - Permanent contracts available after trial period. Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Are you looking for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant role in Rossendale? Our specialist school is seeking a dedicated individual to support a general class setting. This is a full-time, 5 days a week position starting as a temporary contract with a high likelihood of transitioning to permanent (Temp-to-Perm).

• Classroom Support: Provide high-quality learning support within a small SEN class.

• Personal Care: Comfortably and professionally assist with personal care duties (toileting, feeding, and changing) as required.

• 1:1 Intervention: Work closely with pupils with ASD, SLD, and physical disabilities to help them meet their EHCP goals.

• Team Collaboration: Partner with the Class Teacher and therapists to ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

• Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Support Worker is preferred, particularly within an SEN school or care setting.

• Resilience: A patient, calm, and nurturing approach to supporting children with complex needs.

• Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is a plus, but passion and experience are our priority.

• Safeguarding: Must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
